A Damper is a blade or plate that can stop or regulate the flow of air inside a duct, or other air handling equipment. A damper can be used to cut off central air conditioning (heating and cooling) for an unused room, or it can regulate it for room-by-room temperature and climate control. It can be manual or automatic whatever the cilent needs.
Manual dampers are turned by a handle on the external part of a duct. Automatic dampers are used to regulate airflow and are operated by electric or pneumatic motors.
